What is CCR?
eScribeTM II includes a CCR module that enables medical providers to capture and transport essential patient information, including surgical history, demographics, medication, vital signs, diagnoses, allergies, and more, for effective continuation of care.
CCR is a standard specification being developed jointly by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International), the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS), the Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). It is intended to foster and improve continuity of patient care, to reduce medical errors, and to assure at least a minimum standard of health information transportability when a patient is referred or transferred to, or is otherwise seen by, another provider.
What do I need to digitize my current records (paper charts)?
All you need to get started is a scanner. Once you have scanned your charts into digital images, you can begin organizing them and integrating them with the rest of your records; online.
After I digitize my record, how much will it cost me to upload and maintain them in an electronic format; stored at MDTRONIK?
Cost of electronic storage is far less than the physical space required to store paper charts, not considering additional possibilities for generating revenue by converting such space. Like all other services, there are no setup or activation fee. $19.95 per month will provide 1GB of space and only $5 per GB thereafter.
What do I need to subscribe to your Medical Transcription Services?
All you need to get started in an Internet browser and a high-speed Internet access. To capture your voice/dictation, you must have a digital recorder or use phone-in-dictation.
What is the cost of your transcription service?
The cost of Medical Transcription is 11.5 cents a line with a 1, 2, or 3 years commitment, or 12.5 cents pay-as-you-go. This is based on a 65 keystroke, notwithstanding routine formatting requirements, italicizing or bold function.
Can an existing EMR system interact with eScribe?
This depends largely on your current EMR system. Most EMR applications use outdated and old technology that is not able to interact with most popular applications like MS-Word, etc. However, we can create a script to accommodate this, based largely on the size and the volume of work you provide. If your EMR system is able to accept HL7 messaging or MS Word documents, than the answer is yes.
