In order to be considered for a remote-based position, you must meet the following requirements:

Professional Background

             Medical Transcriptionists

• Five years of experience in medical transcription
• Experience in a hospital environment is a plus
• The ability to type a minimum of 750 lines in an eight hour period

             Editors (Qualification is based one of the categories listed below)

1. Previous medical transcription experience
   • Or
2. Writers, content developers
   • Or
3. Bachelors degree, with a major in journalism, communications or English

Technology Requirements

• PC
  • WIN 2k, XP, or Vista
  • Minimum of 256 MB of RAM
  • Steadman’s spell-checker
  • The ability to play back voice files (i.e. Olympus software)

• Internet
  • I.E. 6 or higher
  • High-speed Internet connection
  • Yahoo Messenger account
  • IM availability during standard working hours

• Working knowledge of MS Word and Internet Explorer is a must
