Continuity of Care Record (CCR)
eScribeTM II includes a CCR based EMR module that enables medical providers to capture and transport essential patient information, including surgical history, demographics, medication, vital signs, diagnoses, allergies, and more, for effective continuation of care. Unlike other proprietary applications, MDTRONIK's electronic medical solution is offered online, allowing end-users to connect and collaborate, using Internet Explorer and an Internet connection, without having to install and maintain locally installed software. |
CCR is a standard specification being developed jointly by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International), the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS), the Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). It is intended to foster and improve continuity of patient care, to reduce medical errors, and to assure at least a minimum standard of health information transportability when a patient is referred or transferred to, or is otherwise seen by, another provider. |
